Tell us about yourself as an artist/musician. What do you do?
As an artist, I like to think of myself as a vessel. I write, record, produce, and create with something greater than myself guiding the process. I’m a rapper, producer, and creative at heart—everything I do is rooted in art. My work is driven by real subject matter from my life—experiences I’ve lived through and stories I want to tell. It’s all part of building and sharing my narrative.
How long have you been making music, and what sparked your interest in music?
I’ve been making music since sixth grade. It all started when my dad downloaded this app called Fruity Loops onto my tablet. I began recording little vocal bits and chopping them up, and from there, I was hooked. That early spark grew into a deep passion for production and creativity that continues to evolve today.
Tell us about your time at NOMU so far. Do you have a favorite memory or experience during your time here?
My time at Norco Music has been one of the best experiences of my life. It’s introduced me to amazing people, incredible opportunities, and a wealth of knowledge. I’ve learned so much about mixing, mastering, and producing—it’s helped me grow beyond what I could’ve done on my own. One of my favorite memories was recording the song “Pressure.” The whole session had such a great vibe, and working with Brady made it even better.
When you’re writing or playing music, what influences constantly inspire you as a musician/artist?
I’m influenced by a mix of things—my faith in Jesus, emotional struggles, and the journey of living life itself. Every day feels like a new chapter, and I try to channel those experiences and lessons into my music. Artist-wise, I’m inspired by Kendrick Lamar, Mac Miller, and Tyler, the Creator. I also draw a lot from Dilated Peoples, Evidence, LMNO, and Atmosphere—artists I grew up listening to who shaped my style and approach.
What are your current goals in school, music, or life in general?
Right now, my goal is to finish school at Norco and continue learning everything I can from the music program. I’m also working on my sophomore album, When the Conversation’s Over. I want to improve my piano skills so I can incorporate that more into my music. In the next five years, I hope to have my foot in the door in the music industry, own my own studio, and be performing more shows. Ultimately, I want to keep creating music people can vibe to and enjoy.
Are there any hobbies outside of music that you’re interested in?
Outside of music, I enjoy traveling and going on hikes—it helps me recharge and find inspiration.
Is there anything you’d like to add—anything you want people to know about you?
Keep pushing. Don’t stop and don’t quit. Every day we wake up is a blessing. If life gets hard, just remember—there’s a reason for it, and things will get better.
