T.J. Stoneking
What did Norco Music mean to you?
Norco Music was a place I could tap into my creativity, and feel comfortable making something authentic to myself.
Favorite memory from your time there?
My favorite memory of Norco Music is probably my first class, MUC-1 in the Summer of 2016. That class truly set the stage for the next couple of years of my life.
What are you doing now?
I’ve taken my passion of recording and creating and started a podcast about one of my lifelong passions, pro-wrestling.
How did you know you were on the right path?
I knew I was on the right path when I was asked to be the VP of Norco Music. It happened so fast after my arrival that I knew I tapped into something important.
What project are you most proud of?
I’d say I’m most proud of just being a small piece of the puzzle. Every album I was on, the Stoneking EP, and all of the live performances still have a special place in my heart.
What keeps you inspired?
To stay inspired, I put joy first when it comes to creativity. If I’m not happy with what I’m doing, inspiration is hard to hold on to.
Any advice for current Norco Music students?
My advice to new students would be to punctual, respectful, and to make music people can dance to.
