What did Norco Music mean to you?
Norco Music was pivotal in helping me grow as a person and as a performer. I got to meet all sorts of people and learn skills that I still use today.
Favorite memory from your time there?
One of my favorite memories from my time at Norco was showcasing my first original song. It was a very vulnerable experience that scared me at the time but I am forever grateful for how it helped me grow as a songwriter and the support I received.
What are you doing now?
I just graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelors in Professional Music and I am currently working with my band Antique Flowers.
What’s the biggest challenge you’ve faced?
The biggest challenge I have faced while at Norco Music was overcoming my anxiety about showing my music to other people.
How did you know you were on the right path?
I knew I was on the right path with songwriting when I presented a song I had written and someone came up to me to tell me how much that song helped them and how it could help other people.
What project are you most proud of?
The project I am most proud of is writing and recording an album with my brother in our band Antique Flowers. We have released two songs and we are currently working on releasing the rest.
What keeps you inspired?
I stay inspired by listening to lots of new music and going to shows. I love looking to other musicians for inspiration and learning from my peers.
Any advice for current Norco Music students?
The advice I would give to current Norco Music students is to have faith in your abilities and work with lots of people. You never know who you will meet and being a kind person to work with will take you far.
