Tell us about yourself as an artist/musician. What do you do?

I’m a vocalist and slightly play piano and bass. I was also in drumline in high school, so I got enough rhythm to understand drums to utilize them for what I want to do.

How long have you been making music, and what sparked your interest in music?

Before I moved to California, I was in Alabama, where I was born and grew up. I was in a band for a bit, but when I got kicked out, it crashed my passion for music. So I took a long break, and I didn’t pick it up again until 2020. Going back to music required me to relearn many things, however, I’m enjoying the experience.

Tell us about your time at NOMU so far? Do you have a favorite memory or experience during your time here?

Honestly, I did enjoy the night classes with Brady. It was my first time experiencing who Brady is as a teacher outside of the Pro Tools class. I think every moment that I come here, like hanging out with Brady, there’s always some kind of small moment that’s funny, so it’s more memorable to me.

When you're writing or playing music, what influences constantly inspire you as a musician/artist (specific artist, film, art piece, etc.)?

When it comes to influences, I have to go with one of my favorite bands, Good Kid. The band is kind of why I got started here as a vocalist. If I didn’t perform one of their songs, I would have never gone and made the song I did this semester. I like their sound overall because it’s happy sounding with sad lyrics, and I like that unique contrast.

What are your plans or goals in your life now concerning school, music, or just personally, any other pursuits?

Before music, I’m a magician of sorts, which I still do now. I like mainly doing mentalism stuff, which messes with people’s heads and gives them a sense of awareness they never had before and now they’re stuck with permanently. In terms of music, I would like to start a band again and later go into music therapy. Outside of that, I just want to further my education, relearn and expand my craft in music that I didn’t know before.

Any hobbies outside of music that you're interested in?

I play a lot of Runescape. I’ve played that game since 2002, and I can’t stop playing it. It’s one of those games where you spend many hours doing one thing and have a sense of satisfaction once you finish it. So it’s a thrill, and it feels really good.

Is there anything you’d like to add, anything you want to tell whoever might be reading this interview, or anything you want people to know about you?

I’m a very easygoing person, but I will mess with you occasionally.

I decided to do something interesting for the website where the last artist I interviewed can ask you a question. The last person I interviewed was Josh Monte, and he asked, what is your main on Super Smash?

Mr. Game & Watch, who I’ve been playing since Super Smash Bros. Melee. I just love the dude, and he’s one of my favorites in the game. I have extremely stupid luck with 9s, so I go with whatever is my luckiest character. Mr. Game & Watch.

Keep in mind; that you also get to ask the next artist a question, so what would you like to ask the next artist that I interview?

What is your motivation and drive every day?
