Tell us about yourself as an artist/musician. What do you do?

I've been trying to play the guitar, but mainly I'm a drummer. It was the first instrument that I learned, so I guess I'll forever be a drummer, but I kind of want to do it all. I just want to make my own music. I've been thinking about producing other people's music too, but that takes a long time and many skills to learn. To sum things up, what I mainly do is just try to make my own music.

What sparked your interest in music?

I was actually placed in band in eighth grade, and I didn't play anything. I didn't really care about music at the time. That was until my friend in that class was like, "Dude, I'm gonna choose the snare drum." And I was like, "All right, dude, cool." I almost chose the trumpet, and I kind of wish I did choose the trumpet because the trumpet is really cool. I really enjoyed playing the snare drum, and my Dad thought that I was so good that he bought me a drum set. Since then, I've been playing music. My friend had an extra guitar in his closet for guitar, so we started to learn how to play the guitar together, which definitely also sparked my interest in music.

Tell us about your time at NOMU so far?

It's been a pretty cool, little community and I'm glad to be a part of it.

Do you have a favorite memory or experience during your time here so far?

I guess when I made those songs for the Pro Tools class, which was pretty fun. I enjoyed setting boundaries and trying to utilize all the tools that were taught to me to make those songs.

What influences constantly inspire you as a musician/artist (specific artist, film, art piece) when you're writing or playing music?

I'm constantly inspired by listening to new David Bowie songs from one album to another and one-man bands like Mac Demarco. I also feel randomly inspired at times as I would be in the middle of work, and I would want to write a song suddenly.

If you had to recommend one David Bowie album, what album would that be?

I'd say, Hunky Dory.

Since your artist's name is Milk, is there any particular type of Milk that you like?

Reduced fat and 2% milk, but they all taste the same to me. I don't notice the difference that much. I'd prefer anything except skim Milk, which tasted like water.

What are your plans or goals in your life now concerning school, music, or just personally, any other pursuits?

I want to get a certificate in music for Audio Production. I'm not planning to get a degree other than that, but I'll figure out if I need to go to school more once I get that. Outside of that, I just want to make my own music. Part of coming here was learning how to do it myself and be better.

Any hobbies outside of music that you're interested in?

Minecraft.

Minecraft.

Yeah. I used to show before the quarantine. I just kinda play video games and make music, especially now since quarantine.

Is it just Minecraft specifically, or do you have other games that you're interested in?

It's Minecraft right now as I'm in a Minecraft phase. Otherwise, it's Stardew Valley. I don't like playing Call of Duty, but I am interested in Overwatch. I played Apex Legends and Fortnite, but it's not cool to have only one life. If I'm able to respawn, I'll have more fun with the game. I don't like to play online games as I enjoy single-player games. However, the only time I play multiplayer games is with my girlfriend.

Is there anything you want to say to people reading this?
